Report Cheshire road problems

Updated 7th Sep 2016

For reporting potholes, obstructions, overgrown hedges, low tree branches, thorny hedge clippings on the road, missing or damaged or misleading signgs, and a host of other issues, report it to Cheshire East or Cheshire West.

Don’t know which bit is in which area?
Go to Cheshire West’s page first as it appears to accept markers on any part of the map (even in Wales!) so possibly they forward problems to the relevant authority. We haven’t tried that yet to see what happens.

On Cheshire East’s report page, you’ll see a blue line marking their boundary. Additionally when you zoom in to put a marker on the map, the boxes on the right-hand side do not automatically fill with the street name, preventing you from reporting anything. There is also a message stating ‘not Cheshire East’s responsibility’ that sometimes appears on the map when you place a marker on it, but this can appear when within Cheshire East boundaries. Probably it’s because the marker is on private property rather than the highway, but if it lets you report it, do so, as again, it may be forwarded to the correct place.
