Middlewood Way linking Macclesfield and Marple

The whole route is part of National Cycle Network (NCN) 55

Most of the route is a disused railway line, but the southern access point in Macclesfield is a little contrived via the no-through road beneath the railway line, just north of the station. This leads you to a light-controlled road crossing and Tesco on Black Lane, beyond which you cross the stream (in fact the River Bollin) to leave te traffic behind. The northern access point is close to Rose Hill Marple station, in Marple.
