Biddulph Valley Way (Part of NCN 55)

Most of Biddulph Valley Way is part of the National Cycle Network route 55.

A disused railway line, this Way has many access points. The southern end (Stoke-on-Trent) is at Birches Head Road where a left turn over the bridge gives access to the Caldon Canal towpath, for northward or southward journeys. The northern end (Congleton) is by Brunswick Wharf off Buxton Road. To remain on NCN 55, join/leave the way at Bromley Road, Congleton, where a steepish ramp (cyclable with knobbly tyres and low gears) links the Way with the road above.
