Bike storage - sheds, stores, covers
Search for and compare bike sheds and stores from leading garden shed and storage retailers...

Bikes are better stored out of the weather to reduce maintenance, and out of sight to improve security.
The traditional wooden garden shed is often suitable for putting your bike(s) in, but check your insurance policy (see our insurance review) as some insurers exclude such sheds or impose extra conditions regarding locks on the door and the bike(s).
Some shed shapes and sizes are more suited to bikes than others, and in fact some are designed solely for one bike, or two bikes, so check the dimensions and think about how easy it will be to extract the bike you want from all the other bikes, or all the other stuff that accumulates in these places. The robustness of the shed floor, and vulnerability of the threshold, are things to take into account.
Metal garden sheds may satisfy your insurer (see our insurance review), and are noisy things which is good if you want to deter thieves, but not so good if you're likely to disturb neighbours with your comings and goings.
Also metal sheds are often fitted with sliding doors so make access easier where there's little space for opening doors.
Bike and garden stores are low roofed sheds or bunker-like structures that fit neatly into front or rear gardens and are less obtrusive than higher roofed garden sheds. Here you really do have to check dimensions as you might find them too low or narrow for adult bikes for taller types.
Some come with a lift-up lid, others with opening doors plus a lid, and one (Storemax 190) with a roll-down shutter. Check they're easy to open, and as with sheds, you need to ensure that you can lock these securely and, if applicable, that your insurance company approves (see our insurance review).
Bike covers are ideal as dust covers inside sheds, weatherproof covers if you have to store your bike outdoors in the garden or on a balcony, and there are even covers to contain the dirt from your drivetrain or whole bike if you have to take your bike indoors, either at home or at work.
