Cheadle Hulme railway station

by Alec and Val Scaresbrook

Staffed 7 days per week, Cheadle Hulme station is run by Northern Rail. Waiting rooms and shelters, no other facilities. On the junction of the Manchester-Crewe and Manchester-Stoke-on-Trent lines, there are frequent trains throughout the day by various operators.

Flights of steps for access to both sides of each line.

I use a mobility scooter and suspect I cannot access Cheadle Hulme station. Is there a lift?

No lift - the only access is up steep flights of steps. Northern Rail were planning a lift but we think they came up against a land ownership problem.
You might like to write to them to ask them when they are planning to comply with the DDA.
