Stockport railway station

Staffed 7 days per week, Stockport station is run by Virgin Trains. Waiting rooms, toilets, refreshments.


On the junction of the lines from Manchester to Sheffield, Stoke-on-Trent, Buxton, Chester, there are frequent trains throughout the day by various operators.


Station has road access on both sides of the line. Lift access to platforms.

I have just bought a ticket and cycle reservation for a trip from Stockport to Welshpool. The staff at the ticket office were, as usual, brilliant. Knowledgeable, helpful, invariably pleasant and cheerful. I buy there often and have always found them the same.

No I'm not employed by Virgin rail nor doI have any connections with any rail company.
