Kidsgrove railway station

by Alec and Val Scaresbrook

Staffed mornings Mon-Sat, Kidsgrove station is run by Central Trains. No shelter or other facilities.

On the junction of the Crewe-Stoke-on-Trent-Derby and Manchester-Stoke-on-Trent lines, there are frequent trains running on the Crewe line 7 days per week, infrequently on the Manchester line.

Cycle access to Stoke-on-Trent platform only; footbridge to access Manchester platform and Stoke platform on the Crewe-Derby line; second footbridge to access Crewe platform. If rail enquiries give you Kidsgrove as a connection, check the possibility of changing at Stoke because it's staffed, has facilities and is definitely a more pleasant to be in bad weather or after dark.
