Little Moreton Hall
by Alec and Val Scaresbrook
This 15th century half-timbered moated hall is considered the most perfect example in the country and is worth visiting even if it's closed, just to see the exterior. The whole building looks as if it's about to collapse but it's looked like that for a long, long time - the addition of a heavy third storey caused distortion to the lower timbers almost immediately after it was constructed.
