Although pleasant enough for most of the year, these National Trust woodland gardens surrounding a walled garden are at their most spectacular in May, when rhododendrons flower in a blaze of vibrant colour. See the map below

22 Mar - 11 May 08, 10.00-17.00, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun.

12 May - 1 Jun 08, 10.00-17.00, daily.

2 Jun - 30 Oct Nov 08, 10.00-17.00, Wed, Thurs, Sat, Sun.             

Open bank holidays.

Admission fee (2008):

Adult £3.40, child £1.70.


From the Cheshire Cycleway:

The cycleway passes the entrance to the gardens, which are north of Prestbury Road between Alderley Edge and Prestbury.
