There's enough here at this National Trust property to keep you occupied for several days, never mind several hours. It's a country estate with a thousand acres of deer-park, plus meres, an authentic Japanese garden, a medieval hall (the Old Hall), a Georgian mansion (Tatton Hall) and a 1930s farm, not forgetting the tea rooms. The park is free for cyclists. Be warned that the RHS Flower Show held annually in July dramatically increases the traffic around the area and in the parkland. See the map below

From the Cheshire Cycleway:
The cycleway passes close to the northern entrance to the park (Rostherne Gate). Just outside Rostherne village, take Rostherne Lane to Ashley Road. Cross the road to the entrance.
